On February 24th at the Perry Performing Arts Center, 14 new members of the Perry Chapter of NHS were welcomed into the chapter. These students had to first have a 3.25 GPA and then go through a application process that included essays, interviews and teacher recommendations.
“These are some great kids that got inducted tonight that have worked hard so far through their high school career. I have been privileged to meet them and spend some time with them while they were on their journey of induction into this honors group. I look forward to the next year or so with them at Perry High School and their futures! – Ryan Burger, NHS Advisor.
According to Wikipedia “The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States and outlying territories, which consists of many chapters in high schools. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character.”
